Wilderness First Aid is a two-day introduction to general medical concepts and basic life support skills. The course is taught by professional instructors with significant patient care and backcountry experience through Wilderness Medical Associates. Wilderness First Aid is a 16 hour course focused on the basic first aid skills needed for venturing out into remote or wilderness areas. This course takes into account things such as limited access to medical supplies, exposure to outdoor elements, and extended response time for professional help. The course is a mix of in-class lecture and outdoor hands on training.
