Trail Dogs 101

This intro clinic is designed for adventurers looking to hit the trail with their four-legged friend. Rovercome dog trainer Shannon Burch will go over trail etiquette, health and safety precautions, equipment, and skills for on trail training.

Nutrition for Endurance Athletes

Join GU Energy representative Jacob Geisler as he debunks myths around food to energize your body for high endurance competitions. This clinic will cover everything from what to eat during training, how to prepare your body the week of the event, the best ways to energize your body during activity and what to put in your body to help it recover.

Backpacking the Mountain-to-Sea Trail

The Mountain-to-Sea Trail (MST) is a 1,200-mile state trail that traverses from the Great Smokey Mountains of NC to Jockey’s Ridge on the Outer Banks. The trail features the highest mountain peak and sand dune in the eastern US and winds through 37 counties showcasing North Carolina’s small farms to coastal swamps to barrier islands. In this informational session, Kimberly “Legs” Brookshire, an avid through hiker, will share her experience completing the MST as well as provide insightful tips and pointers for those looking to explore the MST.

NODA Brewing Run Club

NoDa Brewing Run Club is the run that started the tradition of brewery run clubs in Charlotte. On Sunday October 13th, the run club will be hosting a special edition run at 11:00am on the Whitewater Center trails led by Ambassadors Chris, Darius, and Deb. The NoDa Brewing Run Club meets every Wednesday night at 6:30 and Sundays at noon to run the NoDa NE Neighborhood.

Group Hike

Lace up your sneakers and join other hiking enthusiasts for this group hike. This hike will be about an hour long and cover roughly 4 miles. Participants of all ages are welcomes as well as four legged friends.

Injury Prevention for Runners

The Camp Gladiator team will lead participants through a series of exercises that they can do at home to help prevent the most common trail running injuries. This interactive clinic will be lead by a team of professional trainers.

Trail Running 101

Test out a pair of Salomon trail runners and join Salomon rep Tim Reed in this introductory trail running workshop. Learn the basics of finding the right shoe, pacing, cadence, form and trail etiquette. This workshop will include instruction on the trails, dress accordingly.
