Ropes Courses

Experience cargo nets, obstacles, suspended platforms and rope bridges as you traverse through the forest and over the rapids.

A ropes course is an activity that is built into the trees or made of utility poles that incorporates traversing obstacles of varying difficulty. Participants wear harnesses and are attached to safety lines throughout the activity.

Qualifiers

Suspension Bridges *New Activity*

Traverse the Canyon over a span of 700 ft. and heights of up to 80 ft. in the air. Provides access to the North and South Rim ziplines.

Adventure Course

Beginner course with a series of platforms, obstacles, and cargo net features.
Difficulty:
Age: 45 to 265 pounds

Canyon Spur

The most physically demanding of all ropes courses at the Whitewater Center with pull-ups and tight rope elements built into the course.

Ridge Traverse

Choose your own adventure with Ridge Traverse. Move between nearly 20 platforms with both beginner and intermediate options.

Ridge Low Ropes Challenge

River Course

Multiple rope elements located above the rapids of the Wilderness Channel.

Triple Track

Navigate 15 platforms and multiple elevations within Hawk Island.

Obstacle Challenge

Low ropes elements suitable for all experience levels with cargo nets, rope climbs, and wall traverses.

Age: 5 years old

What to Wear

Shoes

Secured, closed toe shoes are required.

Clothing

Guests must be wearing a shirt with their midriff covered and shorts or pants. Skirts and dresses are not permitted.

Gear

The USNWC will provide all necessary technical equipment for the experience.
